Acrobat Print Setting Suggestions

To get the flash cards to print on 8 1/2 x 11-inch paper more or less flash-card sized using the free Adobe Reader 7.0 for PC, try the following "Page Handling" settings in the "Print..." menu:

Page Scaling: Multiple pages per sheet
Pages Per Sheet: Custom..., 2 pages by 4
Page Order: Horizontal
Check "Auto-rotate pages"
Check "Print page border" (easier to trim to size)

These settings will produce a sheet of flashcards that looks something like this:

These can be cut into strips of four question/answer pairs. Fold the strip in half lengthwise to form a flash card. The strip could be taped so that the question appears on one side and the answer on the other, but in practice I've found that to be unnecessary.
